The Ferrari 348 has long been considered the "black sheep" of the Ferrari V8 family -- the "middle child" that purists don't like. Today I'm reviewing a Ferrari 348 to show you why it deserves a better reputation than it has.

I love Doug's reviews. But I think this is the fastest he has ever spoke in one.

Is the only Doug review where he says "features and quirks" ??!!

I'm sorry but I didn't like it back then, still don't like it now, looks like an over priced kit car. What's up with the rear wheels? They don't sit in the middle of the wheel wells. I was never a fan of this have harted $hit box. Ferrari needs to step up their game and make a DINO. 4 OR 6 cylinder turbo motor and body SO sexy, a priest would kick out all of the stained glass windows of his church! .....Alfa Romeo is very close.

Your knees are always dirty Doug, but damn, you must’ve really shown that Ferrari owner a good time.

Have you thought about a 512tr?

The Best Toyota MR2 came close to the 348 's performance. The Honda NSX floored it, but that one costed nearly as much. Still, being challenged by the Japanees does not equal the Ferrari 348 being a bad car. I would say it's a great looking design that happens to be quite fast as well.
and I love the pop up head lights, big selling point to me.

Doug's knees are dirty. Now we know how he persuades the owners to review their cars. Atleast he cleans his face before filming.

Here's why Here's why is my favourite phrase to start a video with.

I know someone who owns one and has had a Modena and a 355, and this is his favorite for just driving around. Super fun.

Doug still doesn't know WTF a high speed horn is. He always hits those horns and mocks them, but they were high speed European horns. When you are doing 165 mph, it is much easier to hear.

I loved this car when it came out. Across the street from our local Ferrari dealer was the local Acura dealer which had just taken delivery of several NSX's. I used to see the NSX's parked on one side and the Ferrari 348s parked on the other. Sorry, but the 348 BLEW the NSX away in both exterior and interior looks.

for the record i like doug //// having said that Ferrari's are sold gold turds and are for idiots who dont mind pissing away their fortune on repair bills because they think they are made of gold wile in the mean time it starts falling apart the moment you drive it off the dealer lot

Is that an MR2?

I like that Toyota mr2.
Oops wrong car

But it's a Ferrari 💙

Engine swap lol

Yea, I’m sure that everyone criticizing this car would much rather have a Toyota MR2, sure

If you drove it daily would you get a bald spot??

I think it's a beautiful car, I like but will never buy

Its boring and slow.

Doug is the type of guy to get raped by his catholic priest but not say anything cuz he got to ride in a 348 afterwards

Cool video. Well done.

Its driving me nuts that 2 of the wheels are on the wrong side(directional)

oh boy we gotta slow down opens engine cover

Why doesnt he put the seatbelt on?

I never understood why car companies would install two separate buttons to lock and unlock the doors. In case you want to unlock them when they're already unlocked? I'm assuming it was cheaper to do it that way back then, but that still leaves the question why some of the more modern cars (such as the 2008 Chevy Tahoe) seem to have a similar thing going on with the sideview mirrors. Two separate buttons to fold and unfold them. Just in case you want to fold them in firmer when they're already folded.

a good friend of mine died in a 348 in 98...he hit a tree n the car split into 3 sections....R.I.P. Latif...🙏🏻

my question is, 'why' didn't you wash your knees before getting in a ferrari?

While most kids of the 80s early 90s had, Ferrari F40s or Bugatti EB 110s on their bedroom wall, I instead had this car pride of place above the bed!

I had to stop watching because your filthy knees were just too much.

Have this guy review that car from the 80s that talk and was back and cool, I can’t remember but it was fun when I was a kid.

Hmm, wonder what a high mileage LS swap would cost? $25-30K with a blown engine, then another $15K to fit a bigger V-8 however you cram it in and match a tranny (but somehow keep that classic shift gate for show). $40-50K well bought, without a $10K major service every 3-5 years. Bet there's a market for that, or maybe try a turbo 6?

no it catches fire and it deserves it

10 G's for a belt replacement... Umm Umm.. No..

But...the top could be red and still come off

A car from 1992, Still better than one Honda si turbo 2019 ! This one is = 5.9 sec, 0-60

0:45 the white Countash that you reviewed 😀

A dogleg 1st with no mention?

60 G's, but you can't get fire insurance on them.....

Those are some pretty gnarly knees. Maybe some knee pads??

Even if you only put a couple thousand miles on it, you still have to do the belt service every 3-5 years????? Makes no sense. Do the belts rot?

It's actually really modern, and exceptionally sporty, for what amounts to a "purist" sportscar. Gas, brakes, e-brake, windows, door locks, door handles, window controls, wipers, lights and hazards, with a gated, single clutch, manual 5 speed. It's a textbook purist sportscar for only about 65% the price of most purist cars in it's catagory. When All the other purist Ferrari's are either unavailable or too expensive, demand for this car will skyrocket. Get it now while everyone's distracted by, and buying up, all the 355's...
