Thomas Edison did do some sketchy things later in his career

Why is Switzerland marked as a body of water on that european map? :))))

After watching this i doubt thomas edison invented the light bulb

Speaking as an NJ native, I can confirm that Edison is one of the shittiest historical figures and I absolutely would not put it past him to get rid of Le Prince

i was born exactly 113 years after he disappeared

Is it weird that at school they taught us that Louis Le Prince created movies and not Thomas Edison?

Edison was a THIEF, no honor on his name. Stole from many other inventors.... foreign ones, too. Smfh

Every single thing in every single school book is a lie ...pretty simple

"theIR cALLed ENTS"

Well it is highly possible that Thomas killed him. Considering that it lines up. He disappeared, then later Thomas came out with an invention. People also believe he committed suicide because he was bankrupt. But that doesn’t add up. He was about to invent something and go down in history. Why would he kill himself? Plus he would make incredible amount of money from it. The brother does seem suspicious. I read that passengers saw him get on the train but never saw him get off/or in their section of the train. It was also reported that his luggage was lost. (Which held the blueprints) which then leads to the pin pointing on Thomas. Maybe Thomas knew what was in the luggage. It would explain why his luggage was gone as well. Another theory was that he drowned. But again. Wouldn’t add up. They did find a body in a body of water in 2003 I believe(may be him or not. Wasn’t proven)But no luggage. Also no passengers saw a man jump out a window. But I’m going to combine the two theories for another theory. What if, theoretically. Thomas Edison hired someone to kill him. Theoretically, they drowned him. Then took his luggage. It may fit. But it then doesn’t explain how no one saw him jump out or pushed out. Which then leads to another theory. What if there was a spot on the train that no one was at, at the time it happened. Maybe a section that is prohibited to all passengers. Someone could of easily led him back and did the deed. I do think it is fishy (since Thomas is well known for how much he steals)

I now feel sad and robbed of not knowing Louis' name :(

What if Thomas Edison went around, either killing people or hiring someone to kill others. Just so he could say he invented something that he didn’t.

If Le Prince DID vanish in defeat, it must have been to commit suicide. He would have come forward during the patent wars if he was still alive. I think he had to murdered on that train, but I don't know that we have strong evidence that it was Edison.

My school actually taught about Louis ale Prince!! (I’m an American). We also talked about the many people before Edison who worked on a form of the lightbulb. We’re not all bad ^^

Just look at Edison's picture. What a shifty, idea-stealing bastard!

Fucking Edison.

Nothing can be worse than this for an inventor

So my birthday is September 16th so he died when I was supposed to be born like 100 years later

this made me so sad and angry. Louis Le Prince, i'll remember you. thank you so much.

Brother killed him or it was a random crime. It makes no sense that Edison would kill him. He had many bitter enemies much closer and didn’t murder them. Someone would have noticed that huge man at the train station.

IS THERE NO MOVIE ABOUT LOUIS LE PRINCE? If none, he deserves one! 🙄 Boo hoo to the King of Frauds, Thomas Edison.

Also... If Albert was truly the killer wouldn’t he feed his family a bunch of bull to remove suspicion from himself? (Hence the grandnephews, and whatnot spewing all kinds of nonsense)

In addition, NOBODY saw Louis board the train except for Albert. —Albert whom had sole control over a boatload of money.

It’s fucking Albert. Edison probably knew about Louis’ invention in New York, and kept tabs on it. He eventually stole the idea, after Louis “disappeared”.

That’s the only scenario that I see making any sense.

Jesus christ, did Edison actually do ANYTHING?

Edison stole/swindled a bunch of "his" inventions.

Thomas! That potato bag of a thief!!!

I don't think Edison is an absolute fraud, but in this case... my vote is for "Edison's Goons."

Look at the picture of Edison. He looks like an evil prick.
