I didn't like the it cosmetics cc cream at first either... I mix it with primer to sheer it out and prolong the wear.  Hope that helps!

ttsandra I have really been liking the LM hydrating and radiance primers🙂

+Leah Erin that's a great tip, thanks Leah! What primer are you loving?

You have some great tips in you videos. Please do a video on affordable skin care for oily, acne prone, but dehydrated skincare. I am 42 and on a budget - often frustrated that youtubers tend to focus on high end skincare. I use much of THE ORDINARY, but would love some recommendations.

+Skating Canuck have you tried any CeraVe products? them along with La Roche Posay make some awesome stuff for adult acne and dehydrated skin. I also recommend checking out Dr Dray on YouTube - she has a similar skin type, she's a dermatologist and she has great videos and tips on affordable skincare routines :)

you should do a makeup collection video!

Love when you talk about skin care - I always learn something from you! Its also so awesome to use things up I find it so satisfying! But girl I feel you when you hate a product but don't want to waste your money! So excited that sephora has it cosmetics and jo malone now :)

I started making sure to fully remove bioderma after watching Lisa Eldridge take about accidentally drinking bioderma on set and how it really messed up her throat. She explained that it is a solvent and to remove if from from your skin after use.

ttsandra oh believe me. I understand the dehydration from actives.

I'm loving the collosol and the smell. But it is quite intense. Smells like a something from my childhood. Or baby products from the 70's. I make it sound offensive, but I like it a lot. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and purchased the travel size. I think it was $18 USD

+Liz Alaska oh my god!! i missed that but damn - doesn't sound fun. I accidentally got it in my mouth a few times and it's so bitter! haha my skin is extra prone to dehydration since using Differin so I gotta do what I can to keep it in check. I'm curious about that Collosol stuff you've been showing on IG, now if only there was a way for me to smell it first before buying... SMELLOVISION NEEDS TO BE REAL ALREADY

What would you say is WHAM BAMB pigmentation?? hihi , thnx girl!

I absolutely hated that Burts Bees Cleansing Oil. Stings the eyes, I hate the smell and it irritated my face like crazy. I ended un using it to shave my legs 😂

hey at least you used it up!!

Can you review the new body shop matte foundation W tea tree oil in it?

Have oh tried Eurcerin miceller water? It's my favourite and I have the same skin type as you. It's just a bit pricey but worth it.

ooh i haven't seen it at my local drugstore. but i have tried Eucerin stuff before and liked it. i will have to keep an eye out for that one. thanks!

I feel like if you like milky creamy cleansers as you described the Glossier Milky Jelly you would probably really love MUN's Akwi cleanser. It's like a super elevated version of a milky creamy cleanser. Let me know if you try it! xo.

SOLD. added the MUN to my list :) i've been so curious about that brand too! x

Ooo and I was going to mention Plie as well! So happy you're trying that one! I LOVE it.

Have you ever tried just washing your face with a dove bar? I prefer that to all of the expensive cleansers. It even gets makeup off really well.

+Stefanie Medina haha I did it once and my skin felt so awful I will never do it again. I'm glad it works for you though!

Ooooh....I'm picking up that Burberry Gold Copper eyeshadow pot in the Sephora VIB sale...💛. I've been using the Toleraine foaming cleanser for about three weeks and love it. Do you use the milky hydrating one?? If so what are your thoughts? I was thinking of picking up the hydrating on for evening cleanse and then using the foaming one in the am.

+Tiffanie Tyler i have used that foaming one too, and the one I mention in the video is the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser which is more of a milky gel. Works well as an evening cleanse but I recommend using a wash cloth with it as it can leave a slightly oily residue on the skin

Hi Sandra, thanks for the video! How long do you typically test out a product before you determine that it is or isn't working for your face? I never know if I'm giving up too soon.

+meweewoo depends on the product! with cleansers I can usually tell within the first couple of uses, with serums and more active skincare I usually give it a full month (unless my face reacts really badly). with foundation I try for about a month too under different conditions/with different tools. I usually figure out a way to make a foundation work for me even if I don't love it. mixing foundations is usually a lifesaver :)

Sandra you are my new utube favourite and I've been savouring each video, trying not to binge watch too much. It's nice to know there's more to look forward to. I first heard of you through Allana Davison's channel. Love your style, the informed feedback on products, AND I love that you also share products/likes that aren't sponsored too. Or you disclose when it is - much more original and authentic, thus believe-able.

Have you done a perfume fav's video? So cool you use perfume as an accessory. IDEA! Have a video with 3 or 4 outfits and the perfumes you'd wear with them 👍💛 Keep up the excellent work. 🇨🇦👍✌️

+Autumn Trust thanks so much for the kind comment ! I have never done a fragrance collection video although I wanted to. perhaps I'll do a little mini collection of my fave autumn/winter fragrances this year. thank you for the inspiration 😘

Hello i just bought the maybelline cushion i like how you can build it up however i find it too orange on my skin. Did you also have that problem if so how did you fix it?

+Neyma Orozco no I did not have any issues but I chose a shade that was a little bit too light for me so when it sets it ends up looking fine. try maybe a lighter shade? ❤️

good point about not leaving the micellar water on your skin however I think the majority of people that use these products do not wash them off.

+pinkabuki yeah i think since they're marketed as no rinse necessary, we wouldn't even think twice about it especially if you're wearing minimal makeup throughout the day. same thing w makeup wipes. I feel like I HAVE to do a proper cleanse afterwards now though, I crave it!

Neogen, a Korean brand, do gorgeous micellar waters

+Lucy Makes Up I love me some K beauty so I appreciate the suggestion !

Hi Sandra ! Yes please, a review on the Nars foundation =) I have to buy this gold copper eyeshadow from burberry, it's so beautiful !

As you said, it's important to remember that micellar water needs to be rinsed, even though it says No Rinse needed on most bottles. If you like La Roche Posay, they have a micellar gel called Rosaliac Micellar Gel, it does a great job on eye make up (may be not waterproof) and it's $CAD 24.50 for 200 ml. May be you know it already. Love your videos.

+Fabienne Plasse I don't! I used one of their serums from the Rosalic range before but that micellar gel sounds great! Thanks for the suggestion

Another great no fuss cleanser is the Yes to Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser (it has a pump too). It leaves my skin really soft and fresh feeling. I use it day and night as a second cleanse. Highly recommend!

Oh I hope you like it as much as I do! I have lived in two countries outside the US since discovering it and I still rely on visitors to keep me stocked. It is that good to me. :D

Rachel Tong it's now on my list! thank you for the suggestion

No used lipstick?😳

Masha Migalchan nope not this time! hopefully on the next one :)

OMG, thank you so much for the tip with the Chanel Chance Eau Fresh Moisture Mist, as Chance Eau Fresh is my fave perfume ever. I first heard about it years ago from Tanya Burr and you are the second youtuber that I know now is a fan. <3 I hope I will find the Moisture Mist version here in Romania. Oh, and now I sooooooooo wanna try that Maybelline cushion. Hope we will have it soon here! xoxo from Cluj

I love Jordan Samuel plié cleanser. Have you tried his hydrate serum and the etoile oil with retinol. They are both amazing

+msyaaarii i haven't yet (need to use up some other stuff in my stash first) but the Hydrate serum is definitely on my list :)

This made me definitely want to check out the Jordan Samuel cleanser!

Great video Sandra - as usual! I would love to see a video where you compare the stick foundations that you have. I'm looking for a foundation to wear on weekends or when going out and I've heard very good things about the Tom Ford one. But it's very pricy so haven't made up my mind yet. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know. I have combination skin, but am not a fan of matt finish. I just want faboulous looking skin (don't we all). I also would love one that is somewhat heat proof as I live in Australia.

Thank you for your recommendations! I must try some of those foundations. You always look flawless in your videos, I love the way you do your makeup, please keep them coming :)

+Cecilia Naranjo Golborne the only stick foundations I have are the NARS and the Tom Ford. the Tom Ford product contains almost 2x more foundation than the NARS, so it makes the high price tag a little more tolerable haha. in terms of quality the TF is nicer, has a luminous finish, wears better on my skin and is easy to blend. however I wouldn't call either of them heatproof. if you want something that can withstand the heat, i wouldn't choose a stick foundation. you might like Dior Forever, Armani Power Fabric or Smashbox Studio Skin

I've been using the Perricone MD Foundation Serum for months now and I love it. The coverage is light but it seems to be enough to even out my skin. It also somehow keeps my skin looking non oily all day. My favourite miscellar water is the pink Bioderma, love that stuff. Enjoyed your video, the jelly cleanser sounds good!

+SandyL the pink Bioderma is an OG fave, I have a backup of it too at my bf's house!! I'm glad the Perricone MD product works for you - it sounds like a perfect everyday base. you've got me really intrigued now especially if it has good oil control!!

I don't rinse off micellar water. The first 3 ingredients in the pink top Garnier is water, hexylene glycol, and glycerin. Hexylene glycol is a volatile compound and the thing that dissolves makeup. I use that stuff at work sometimes and it does some pretty awesome things. What I wonder is, how much water are we paying for?

ttsandra I ran it and it's 88% water, less than I thought it would be. That is pretty decent considering hand soap is about 90%. And yes, that stuff could make skin dryer than a dessert. I'm somewhat worried for the season change. The dry air of winter wreaks havoc on my skin too. Retin-A on top of that makes my skin peel. There was no moisturizer that could soothe my skin. It was very thirsty for everything. I'll be watching to see what you recommend if you hit that point, though hoping you don't.

+Kay L my skin has been extra temperamental and more prone to dehydration than ever before since starting my Differin treatment. that stuff is a blessing and a curse, I swear. love that your coworker suggested running the water content, if I had that at my disposal I'd be there every day with a new pot of skincare to test. 💦

ttsandra I was talking about the water content of products yesterday with my coworker am here suggested I run the water content in the lab. I'll keep you updated. Lol. But yes, we pay insane amounts for water and cheap ingredients many times. No dryness yet here. That will come soon enough with fall. The New York metro area has had a very humid yet mild summer and maybe that is helping. I've got oily skin, too, and use the pink lid micellar in the mornings to take off my nighttime moisturizer and treatment. Perhaps it's just drying enough for the summer?

+Kay L I think we pay a lot for water in all our beauty products haha just look at the whole concept behind the Ordinary! makes you realize how high the markup is for the bulk of the products on the market. I'm glad you haven't had dry skin issues with micellar water 💦 Dr Sam Bunting was the dermatologist I meant to refer who suggested rinsing them off. I love her channel.
